I am linking up today to my sister Ashley's porch display Spooktacular Specktacular. I decided to join at the last minute but that didn't stop me from pulling out the big guns.
Sam was totally cool with me painting the front door orange for the month:

I never forget the steps:

I went KA-RAZY with the pumpkins this year:

I loooove owls:

And here is what I put together for the yard at night:

If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch!
Brooke, where do you find the time???
ReplyDeleteGreg,
ReplyDeleteI've had a little time on my hands...
PS--I'm also impressed that you were willing to see the error of your ways and include some Halloween owls in your display.
ReplyDeleteHaving a Halloween without owl decorations is pretty much unthinkable!
There really are no words for the time and effort you put in to this display. It is massively and overwhelmingly impressive. All those pumpkins, all those steps, all those doors...astounding, really. And those owls...you know I love those, too.
ReplyDeleteBut based on comments alone, your comment on Tyler's blog should win the whole damn contest.
I second Em's comment re: your comment on Tyler's blog. It was hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI guess I could say the same as Brooke did about her display, I had a little time on my hands.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! You must have a bunch of Halloween minions to help you with all of your decor! Send them to my house!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHA. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI want to live next door to you Brooke--not just for your fantastic Halloween display!

ReplyDeleteBWAHAHAHAHAHA.
ReplyDeleteI totally should have painted my front door orange. You're clearly the winner.
And I just love your use of owls. So creative. Wherever did you get the inspiration??
ReplyDeleteThis is a mockery of all that is good in this spooky season. I demand that this blasphemous post be removed.
ReplyDeleteAnd your comment on Tyler's post is hysterical. That redeems you from this post.
I loved everything you put up! Looks so cute--and the door--Sam was so nice to let you paint it! :)
ReplyDeleteThe steps are the real winners on the day ;-0
ReplyDeletealso the door is a nice touch I am now expecting a green and red candy stripe theme for christmas, pastels for easter etc etc.

ReplyDeleteAlso I just read Ashley's blog about your Grandma (such a beautiful post) are you serious about the dress???
ReplyDeleteI want it! (I prob should feel more For Shame about this comment than I do).
The dress is on its way to OZ!
ReplyDeleteYou're my hero!
ReplyDeleteI thought you were the obvious winner by sheer volume and effort expended, then I saw Kaari's. You need to beef it up!
ReplyDeleteLaughing so hard.....
ReplyDeleteThe best part about this is your "I am the Bomb" label.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to get Greg to let me paint our door orange for good! I love that picture!
