I put these flags on my car and drove to the mall. I got flipped off on the freeway and one dude actually gave me the thumbs down sign when I pulled into the mall parking lot. I was afraid my car was going to get keyed. U of U fans can be really classy. cough cough.
My kids are all decked out in BYU gear:
My dad has season tickets and I have already taken Luke to the two home games this year. My fondest hope is that he will love BYU football and want to go to BYU. I think it is working:
I am planning to make this for the game. I will probably eat the whole thing myself:
I took my little guys to Costco today for hot dogs since I won't be getting one tomorrow at the stadium. (The game is at the U.)
Go Cougs!

Love that you are steering your kids "right!" TRUE BLUE BYU!! Do you want to bring the Mex Tex up here and watch it w/ us on the big screen? You can get blue & white chips at Harmon's. I'm going to go put on my new BYU gear that I got for the the BYU-Notre Dame game. We're going!
Glad you're starting them young! We need to get a shirt for Mitch ASAP.
I know Katie! He came home from Sam's in that shirt and I didn't change him until this afternoon. Rest assured he was in blue by noon.
This entire post makes me want to puke. Except for that tasty looking dip. Now that is something I can get behind.
Kill 'em, Utes!!
Spoke to soon! The other exception is the people flipping you off. That's awesome, too, just like that dip.
I have a utah alumni license plate cover on my car and once found a note on the windshield that said 'go home ute. Your kind aren't welcome here -a cougar' ...in Virginia! Fans on both sides feel very strongly about their team, even on the other side of he country.!
I'll never forget one year when we went to a game BYU-Utah game. It was in the old stadium and we sat in the end zone on what used to be just an asphalt black top area.
There were a bunch of young kids sitting around us and I had never heard such "colorful" language for the entire first half.
At half time, we made the mistake of going to get some food. We came back and the kids were gone, but they had left us a gift by spitting all over the ground where we had been sitting. Awesome!
At least we won the game! :-) Go Cougars!
I truly developed my love for BYU by going with my best friend to many BYU football games. Her dad was a big cougar club guy and we lived large at those games. It truly made a big difference in my decision to go there. I obviously had no support from those people that call themselves my parents.
Just kidding, mom!
On behalf of ALL Utes, I want to apologize for that jerk flipping you off. Seriously, who acts like that? So sorry:( We were taught better than that in SLC. He was an anomoly. Maybe that was his way of flirting?!?!
Ute fans are nothing if not classy.
Go Cougs! :)

I keep hoping you will turn away from the dark side Brooke...
The one and only time I went to a Utah/BYU game at the Y some jerk threw his Sprite (because dt. coke was being served back then)on me. Really nice, guess both sides have poor fans.
Your dip looks yummy however.
Go UTES!!!
You are so cute!! We need to do lunch again! I have every other thursday off, we should get together!!
You look really gorgeous. Anyway, I love that you love BYU football. I wish I did, but I barely started to understand the rules of football from watching Friday Night Lights recently. But I hate the U. Have you ever felt more anti-Mormon sentiment than there? I haven't. My husband is obsessed; he even hates the color red. You are such a fun mom to do these things with your kids!
Came back to gloat.
GO UTES!!!
What does Kaari have to gloat about?
The most important part of this is that you look hot in your BYU apparel. And I could use a seven layer right now. Why oh why do I never learn that Saturday is a special day to buy the food I will want to sit around noshing on all day Sunday.
When we talk to our kids about college, it's always BYU. "You'll go to high school, then you'll go to BYU," etc. There are no other options.
Mostess needs to shut her beautiful yapper!
Ashley's right--you look hot and I love your shirt.
I think your plan to to get your kids to the Y will work for sure. Every year for our family vacation we'd visit my grandparents in UT. At least one of those days my parents would take us to BYU campus and we'd walk around, eat at the Cougareat, buy candy in the bookstore and buy BYU shirts. Absolutely did the trick. That and my dad was the biggest fan on earth and I think he would have disowned us if we hadn't gone there.
Had to agree about college at BYU. My kids have no other choice in the matter. (BYU I is ok, too).
Good job Utes!
Jared took my 9 year old to the game (I know I'm a horrible parent for letting my child out until after midnight-bygones). Anyway, you're right about the Ute fans, nothing but class. The people around my boys kept yelling the "f" bomb, and talking about how old they were when they "gave it up". They didn't care that a child was right in front of them.
We decided that the "classless" ute fans are the ones who never stepped foot in any university.
I'm just wondering what BYU would've done if the game went into overtime. The game ended at 11:58, overtime would've taken the game into Sunday.
Be careful what you hope for, Brooke. Mike would take the girls to the U for every game, activity, etc. and I'd take them to the Y for ice cream, bowling, etc. So what did they do?? Haley graduated from Utah State and Stephi graduated from SUU!!!! Oh well...at least they graduated from college :)
Those are such cute BYU shirts Brooke! You are such a good mom to take him to the games.
I'm bummed they lost, but oh well...we'll play another day (in 2 years). :)
Love the naked picture!!
