Rainy Days and Mondays Never Get Me Down

Today is Monday and it is raining and I couldn't be happier. Somewhere between four kids and now, I started to hate the weekend. Maybe it's the two soccer games every Saturday.

Maybe it's the fact that Sam is training for or running a race every Saturday. (This weekend it was the St. George Marathon.) Maybe it's the fact that Sunday's are NOT a day of rest for moms and by Sunday night my house looks like a bomb went off. (See my friend Natalie's blog for a brilliant example of what her and my Sunday look like!)

Anyway, Monday is here. The kids are back at school. Ryan is sleeping! It's raining outside and my house is cozy. And I have the softest little teddy bear to cuddle.

Are you enjoying your Monday?

I love this rainy Monday, even though I'm going to be sitting in it for an hour watching a flag football game soon.

I also loved sending everyone off to work and school this morning after a weekend of oh so much togetherness!

I didn't realize Sam was running St. George on Saturday? Were you there too? I would have tried to find you! I like Mondays too--I send everyone but little Nora to school. So nice!

If I had a day off it would be Monday for sure. When the kids were little and we were all home I would love Sunday night in anticipation of a nice calm Monday.
Having sat through years of Soccer games I feel ya pain Sista ;-)

Mondays are the best. I used to hate them when I had to work outside the home. Now? My favorite day of the week. EVER.

Brooke, I completely agree with this post. I had an awful weekend and today has been so much better. Here's to Mondays!

I too prefer the week to the weekend, except I like being able to sleep in. It's been cold here too and I love it. Buster is certifiably cute again! Can't wait to get my hands on that soft little guy!
