Kicking Off the Month of February
Wasn't that a clever title? I have to send some love to Steeler Nation tonight. They got their big win. I'm so happy for Sam. He actually wore Steelers socks and a Steelers tie to church today. Yes, he's THAT guy. Anyway, he spent the evening yelling at the tv, begging the players by their first names "Come on Santonio, don't blow it!" and dancing with the kids after touchdowns. He loves the Steelers with everything in his soul. He wouldn't let me take a picture of him watching the game but he had each of the kids wearing one of his Steelers Ts. Now I get to go clean the kitchen--we celebrated with frozen CPK bbq chicken pizza (it's not bad!) and betty crocker brownies. Sam is so emotionally drained he's going straight to bed.

Congratulations on the Steelers win. We our Bronco fans and were kind of rooting for AZ since they were the underdog but Pittsburgh did out play them! I heard about your blog from my friend Terra. Thought I would check in.
So Sam is a Steelers fan this year? You bandwagon people kill me. Patriots, Colts, Giants, Steelers, whatever.
Congratulations, Sam! The Steelers couldn't have done it without you! I would at least like a photo of the kids in the Steelers shirts. BTW - I'm happy for Brooke too, since Sam will be a happier person to live with. I'm just glad ONE of our teams won something this year - we won't talk about BYU.)
Aren't you glad I called and told you the Steelers were playing today?
That is so GREAT, I wanted Arizona to win just because I think Kirt Warner is such a great guy (I know lame reason but the Chargers were watching from their couches) We actually made a comment while we were watching to game about how happy Sam must be. I will have to try the frozen pizza, we are always looking for something quick and easy. We usually just have Digorno.
I watch one game a year...superbowl! I love it. If I had married a sports fan I would totally be there. I had to teach Stan the positions and rules when we first got married! We had a big feast...which is half the fun! What a game! I litterally had tears in my eyes with the last AZ touchdown, and then it was taken away. :( Being from PA. Steelers were my pick but I like the underdog anyway.
Above all else, I am a Steeler fan. I like to see BYU and the Jazz win, but those teams are not personal to me.
When I was baptized in Pittsburgh in 1983, I did not just become a member of the LDS Church, I became a member of Steeler Nation. I have had a Terrible Towel with me ever since.
I am obviously thrilled that they won the Superbowl. When I retire, I plan to buy a large RV and follow them for an entire season and see every game in person. Then we will go on a mission...maybe.
Here we go Steelers...here we go!
Kelly-if the Cardinals had won, I would have been happy for Kurt because he is such a classy guy.
Sam, you will not be buying the RV, you'll be renting it, and I'll be on holiday in Europe for the year.
I failed to mention in my post how great it was to see the Boss perform at halftime. I will always love Bruce.
That game was amazing!! Great teams, good plays (one end of the field to the other...are you kidding me???) and good fans.
Glad Sam got his win!
I'm wasn't too invested in the game, but, like Kelly, really like Warner (could it be the name?)so I was kinda hoping Arizona could pull it off. Having said that, it was a great game and anyone who loves a team like Sam loves the Steelers deserves to see a Superbowl win. We're happy for you, Sam!!
The only thing I care about regarding the Superbowl is that coke always goes on sale that weekend. I got 15 12-packs.
It was a great superbowl. I was secretly rooting for the guys in red...but it was a good game.
