Colbert is my Hero

Generally, if you are interested in politics, business, social movements, you don't come to this here blog. You come here for shopping, celebrity gossip and general craziness. But if you have been following the Occupy Wall Street movement at all or even if you haven't, you need to watch this clip from the Colbert show:

I don't know enough about all this stuff to have an opinion, but Ketchup's facial expressions are classic!

I've loved Colbert ever since he made an utter mockery of the idiot legislator from Wyoming.

This is a hilarious clip. Colbert is a master of satire.

With regard to the Occupiers: I love the jazz hands/spirit fingers, the discussion of whether people are "female-bodied" or "male-bodied", and the fact that there are no "leaders" of the Occupy movement--only "facilitators."

In addition, I'm going to have make a point of process here <>. We do not have consensus on the spelling of Catsup's name. Jazz hands down on that one.

But I'm not sure that I'm quite ready to "block" the spelling of Ketchup quite yet.

Maybe we need some direction from our "facilitator."

Em--

The Wyoming clip is also very funny. One of my favorite exchanges came during their discussion about the merits of home schooling:

Legislator from Wyoming: “You know at some point your children would learn that Wyoming is the Equality State.”

Colbert: “Not from me!”

brooke that was so funny. I kept asking my husband if the whole thing was for real- or if Ketchup and they other guy are/ were actors. Seriously, was that for real?

That Colbert Report is soooo funny!! Ketchup as a name? I didn't live through it, but this reminds me of what I've seen about the hippie movement 50 years ago!

I like both boots. As to if you should go short or tall on them it depends on how much you want to have your pant in or over them. I'm more of a over the boot sort of person. You'd look great either way.

I searched this clip out this morning after your comment on tyler's facebook and I was laughing out loud so hard--I think it's my favorite Colbert thing ever.

Toria,

Sadly, yes. Colbert gets real people on his show and does the best most hilarious interviews and makes them look like idiots. Those people are for real.

Brookie, this was soooo funny that Mike wanted to know why I was laughing out loud! Showed it to him and he laughed too! I wondered if the people (especially Ketchup!) were real or actors-but you answered my question. Thanks!
