Holiday Home Tour

Come on in! I've been waiting for you...Here is your hot chocolate...let's take the tour! I know you think you've see all this before..but not so fast...I got some new balls on my Xmas tree! and I am desperate for a new blog post.

Let's start in the living room with my tree....no one lays a finger on this tree. I don't even like my kids looking at this tree. Buster already broke one of the ornaments this year.

A close up:

And if you turn to the left you will see my entry decor.. My mom bought these knitted stockings for me last year. I love them:

Now, into the family room where we have the...wait for it...family tree! My kids help me decorate it. Don't look too close. I had to appease my children with the PBK stockings.

Check out these big balls...hehe. I found them at Taipan. I obviously have a thing for red and white polka dots. These balls were sold out and I had to drive to Orem to get them. Truth be known, I would have driven a lot further..I love them so much.

And turn around. What is that? My hutch. Probably my favorite piece of furniture. I try to cluster my Santa stuff here:

In the kitchen, I have my Xmas plates:

And candy jars (these are my only claim to fame..they have been pinned thousands of times on pinterest:

One of my favorite things about this season is displaying the cards from family and friends:

Let's go back to Sammie's room. Remember this candy tree? I am anal about it because it is flocked and it loses more flocking each year. I used my lamanze breathing and let her help decorate it.

Back to my bedroom..this is where the magic happens.. (I hate how they always always say that on MTV cribs...get a new line!) Just kidding. We're not going in my messy bedroom.

Let's go into the boy's room. The sports tree. Ryan decorated this one:

And finally out front. You saw my elaborate Halloween display (wink wink) I decided to keep it simple for Christmas. My sole piece of outside decor:

And my new star wreath..waiting for my friend Heidi to come adorn it with ribbon..hint hint.

And of course, my favorite thing in my house...these four! Their excitement about Christmas is palpable. Ryan talks non stop about reindeer, Santa, and elves. I love it.

Now I am coming over for a tour of your house. Don't stress, I will let myself in. Just leave the Fernwood mints out on the table!

Your house is Darling (not as Darling as those kids!!! but still DARLING). The plates and white hutch are always my fave. I am a little disappointed you didnt go with the candy cane stripes on the front door. Bit slack Brookie.

When you get to my house be careful not to trip over the box of toilets at the front door, the electrican in the kitchen, the pile of plaster offcuts in my bedroom and ... if you are looking for the tree Lulu put it up in her room - the only place in the entire house not covered in building crap. But enjoy the festive spirit ok :-)

Why is nobody talking about the star pine wreath? It's adorable. Where did you get it? I don't pin, but if I did . . . .

My tree needs some balls.

Looks so awesome. I love that star wreath. If I had not already gone to great trouble iwth the kids in decorating and hanging our door wreaths, I would copy. Where did you get it? I love that you ahve so many trees. Your kids must be in heaven. Andrew is begging me for his own.

I must know where you got your hutch.

Alexandra and Ashley..I got the star wreath at Basket Loft..if either of you wants one..I will get it and ship it to you.

The hutch is from a local furniture and home decor place in Draper called Sweet Briar Hollow. Sam surprised me with it for Christmas when Luke was a baby.

Brookie-you are definitely your mother's daughter. I remember coming to your home MANY years ago and was AMAZED that you all had trees in your rooms! And yours are now as darling as your mom's were many, many years ago...your house is soooo cute and your babes are the best!

So awesome! I too adore the polka-dots. I have a couple of runners from pottery barn that you might envy in exchange for my envy of your ornaments!

Since I am really good at copying everything in your house (cough* home wreath * cough) I will also be attempting this with Christmas decor. Thank you for the inspiration. Heading out tomorrow morning for candy.

P.S. Watch out for that pinterest crowd. They can be mean.

All of it is so cute. Your hutch is amazing as always. Can't wait to see it all in real life.....especially Buster. His smile is the cutest ever in that pic.

I love the "ornaments" under the tree. The ones in plaid. . .are they cute enough??

We loved your pictures. My comment was, "wow fun for the kids to have their own trees - loved those" and Rebes' comment was, "love the red and white ornament - reminds me of the Super Mario Brothers mushrooms". Ha Ha Ha - We hope you are enjoying the season. Feels like it sure is coming fast.

You know you've been someone's blog friend for a long time when ya see a cute Thanksgiving Point tree and say to yourself, "I remember when she got that tree."

Your home is lovely.

I was about to ask where you got your ADORABLE star wreath but finally scrolled down. Love love it.

I love those candy jars and the big red polka-dot balls and your children in their matching pjs.

Your house is darling. I finally hauled out the decor today (I'm so behind!) and I'm dreading the energy it will take to keep the kids from touching/destroying it.

Your house looks beautiful. I can't even imagine how much time it takes to put up all those decorations!

You are making memories for your kids that will last for a lifetime.

How long do you leave the decorations up for? I hope that you don't have to take them down the day after Christmas!
