Maxi Skirt Giveaway

The Nest on Main recently did a giveaway on Facebook and I won this skirt!  In my comment, I said I wanted to win this so I wouldn't have to shave my legs and I could sit like a man at church.  I had already ordered the skirt when I won this one so now I have two.

It's your lucky day!  I am giving one away on my blog.  The skirt is junior sizing so I knew I had to get a size Huge. (Large.) It is super stretchy so I think it could fit anyone between 5'6 and 5'10. For reference, I am 5'9 and I usually wear a 6 or 8 in skirts. My mom, who is 5'6 tried the skirt on and it fit her too. The waistband rolls up or down so the length can be adjusted. I will announce the winner on my birthday (Monday!)

Here are the rules...because I love rules.

Leave a comment and tell me your favorite blog post I have ever done.  I know it is narcissistic and a little vain but the name of my blog is "i wanna talk about me" so just go with it!

That's it.  Let's do this!

I want that skirt! But am I too tall for it??

Ok, I just went back and read tons of your posts. Maybe not my favorite posts, because they come from such a hard place, but I really appreciate your "big D" posts for their honesty and frankness and even some humor. It's everything I love about you, all in a few posts!

And, btw, after reading through so.many.posts, you are an excellent writer. Keep on keepin' on!

I honestly love all your post cause you seriously keep it real and say things I don't have the guts to say or admit... But am probably doing or thinking. I agree, you need to post more, so I can laugh more. See, I'm selfish like that. I also love your 'how to coordinate a family photo' post. It's bookmarked and I've referred to it a lot. Also, I want that skirt too! Pick me!! :)

I love your post about Life Moving Too Fast because I drive 80 too, and now I don't feel so ashamed! I'm sorry it took breaking your nose for you to slow down, but I love hearing how you dealt with it all. I also loved your post about your boots- it made me feel better about my own shopping strategies!
Your post on fb about not shaving and sitting like a man in church made me go right to that Nest website... Im dying for one myself! Love that skirt!

I don't care about the skirt... I wouldn't look as cute in it as you do. I would like to win a night out with frozen yogurt...

I love that you are soliciting people's favorite posts. Shameless! The bachelor posts always made me laugh out loud--but busters baby pics (the chubby ones) were also a very fave. I actually always love the real life stuff about your kids.

I agree with Ashley--the posts about real life are my favorite and I can't pick just one--they are all good, so keep it up and send me the skirt!

I'd be more than happy to take that skirt off your hands. ;) I have to ditto Gwen -- I appreciate your posts about dealing with real life and your advice to people about how to best support their friends going through hard times. It's a topic that I think people shy away from on "look at my perfect life" blogs. The honesty is appreciated.

Oh, pick me, pick me!!!

My favorite post was the prom pictures of years past - because my husband was in one of them...and I've been blog stalking you ever since.

And I'm about your size so I feel like the skirt is made for me.

All right, enough about me - back to you.

Hi Brooke, well, I think you are so funny and I like all your posts, but I really like the posts on what to say to a friend going through a divorce, and what to do for a friend going through a divorce. As one who has much experience being the sounding board, I really appreciate your perspective. Thanks for your honesty!!

I am a bit of a blog stalker...and have lots of fave posts of yours. At the top of the list? Your tips for a successful road trip with kids. Every time I even think about a road trip, I read this and laugh. At the other end of the laughter spectrum, your posts on your divorce were so honest and open, I felt your pain...even never having met you. You have dealt with an incredibly tough situation with tremendous grace. Keep sharing your life...you're incredible!

And I LOVE the skirt!!!

Okay Love Your Blog, I love all your Posts so choosing a favorite could be hard I have followed you for a while I cried when I read about your divorce on your blog and love reading about you and your cute family but one of my favorite posts was the Shallow Thoughts Fall Edition For a couple reasons, First I have to tell you you are so true to you. You are so Down to earth and just say it as it is I love that about you. You are not one Bit shallow so this post should not have been called that but I love when you share some of your Favorite things at the moment It is great and always makes me want to check out some new items to try too, I loved the skirt on you and would love to have a copy cat Skirt so please pick me!!! Keep up the good work!!
