I Love Me Some Chicken

Remember on Seinfeld when Kramer couldn't get enough of the Kenny Rogers Roasters Chicken? That is one of my favorite episodes.

The crazy thing is, as much as I hate birds, I love me some good chicken. I have always loved KFC. I know that in saying that, I'm sort of admitting I'm trashy. The Colonel knew what he was doing when he combined those 11 herbs and spices. Don't forget the savory mashed potatoes, the warm buttery bisquits--it is all soooo good.

Growing up, we had KFC at many family gatherings. Then I started dating Sam. His entire family met at Thanksgiving Point for a party. Someone brought the KFC and I felt right at home.

Now the Colonel has really outdone himself. Have you heard about the Kentucky GRILLED chicken? It has the same 11 herbs and spices but with a lot less fat and calories. I even visited the KFC website and got the nutritional info. A breast only has 180 calories, 4 grams of fat and 35 grams of protein! Crap--I could do a commercial for this stuff.

It's your lucky day because Oprah is giving everyone a free meal (two pieces of chicken, two sides and a bisquit!) Just go to the link and print out the coupon. You can only print it out until midnight tonight but it is good through May (but not Mother's Day--the Colonel wants moms to have a decent meal that day!) Mandee, I know how you feel about KFC and you have permission to pass!

Here is the link again. Do it today. Then let me know if the new chicken is any good!

That sounds fantastic. I can't believe that calorie to protein ratio--it's better than a protein shake! I love KFC. We used to live right by one in Fremont when I was pregnant with Charlie. We would go walking, trying to get some exercise, but inevitably get sucked in by KFC's siren smell. That place makes the whole block smell roasty-delicious. Gotta love their sporks and wetnaps too.

If you like KFC, you should definitely go to El Pollo Loco! It is in front of the Costco in Lehi. Noe exactly close, but worth it!

I don't eat chicken...Ever...for any reason! But I love the savory mashed potatoes, and the warm buttery bisquits.
Jimmy has been known to take on enough chicken at KFC for the both of us. I hope you enjoy the new "healthier" chicken.
It smells good! :)

I don't even know what to say. I feel so neglected there isn't a KFC within my mile radius of living. I can't remember the last time I had KFC - but when I did, it was yummy. ENJOY!

The fact that you hate birds and I hate birds makes me believe that we should be friends. I loathe the creatures. (But I do eat chicken! Thanks for the KFC heads up!)

I need to find out if this stuff is gluten-free. If so, I'm on it.

I once had a conversation with an 8 year old, and I said the word spork. I asked her if she knew what they were, and she haughtily announced that she did. I pressed for deets, and she said "you eat mashed potatoes with it, and coleslaw, and baked beans, etc" I couldn't really argue with her logic.

Good chicken and sporks. Life is good.

You must really have been grossed about by the picture of Lance bird-wrangling on the Empire State Building.
