There for the Wrong Reasons

Let's get right down to business. Is anyone surprised that Rozlyn turned out to be the one having the inappropriate relationship with the staffer? I didn't think so. Could she have been more transparent the night of the group date when she came bouncing into the cabana wearing nothing but a wet string bikini and begging for one-on-one time with Jake. Her voice-overs were all about how competitive she is and how once she gets that rose, she was just going to sit back and play hard to get.

I really hoped Jake would see through it but of course, he was sucked in by that nasty forced kiss and even gave her the rose that night. I don't feel sorry for him. She was a floozy and he fell for her just like every other guy would. Good riddance.

I know so many of you love Elizabeth. I just don't see it. Yes, she's pretty but she drives me crazy. She reads him that dumb little note about how he can't kiss her until he knows she is the last girl standing (implying she has such high morals) and then later that evening she completely taunts him during the fireworks--"you want to kiss me don't you? giggle giggle....so manipulative. Does anyone else want to smack her?

And Michelle--Cookoo for cocoa puffs. I'm sure the producers have told Jake he has to keep her around at least a couple more shows for entertainment value.

Finally, the bikinis--when Ashleigh H. changed into a bikini to break into Gia's alone time, I just cringed. Speaking of bikinis, did anyone else notice when Jake came to pick up the first group of women for the group date, how three of the women who were staying back were wearing bikinis just sitting on the couch. Could you be a little more obvious girls? As I write this, I can hear my husband saying "Hate the game, not the player" but these women need to learn how to hold a little something back.

I love Ali. I love Tenley. I'm guessing they will be the final two. They are both classy and cute. I can't wait for next week when the girls start attacking each other! Stay tuned.

I couldn't agree more about Elizabeth! Manipulative is exactly what I thought. She is trying to get him to commit to only kissing her -- yeah right, fat chance.

Anyway, maybe one of these Monday nights Brady and I will come over to watch the Bachelor. We can reminisce about Date #1 inbetween commercial breaks!

I was hoping you had already posted this.
You called it last week. Rozlyn was the one. Oh and that forced kiss WAS nasty.
I liked Elizabeth last week, but now she drives me crazy. So manipulative. "Do you want to kiss me?" UGH!
Ali is the one. I like Tenley, too.

You are right on. Couldn't have said it better myself.

am glad i tuned in this week. oh my, yes, i noticed the bikini thing majorly. everyone wants in on any chance to throw themselves at jake. and roz?! could she look more like charlize theron?! she's a beauty but totally lame. am glad she's out of there.. but why was everyone bawling at the cocktail party!? really!? i mean can all these girls just cry on demand? are they all that sensitive to his feelings?

i love ali too, however her hair claw was really bothering me. i mean it was a cuter look than what i would've pulled off after all that windblown action, but still.

am totally bugged about elizabeth. talk about a complete tease. my favorite part was when all the girls were looking depressed in the limo after seeing the fireworks. hilarious. this show has something that keeps me wanting more. it's pathetic.

thanks for keeping us posted on everything bach. i gotta go read last week's post.

I told my husband last night that it was going to be Ali and he should just send everyone else home but that wouldn't be much of a show. I too liked Elizabeth last week but she seems controlling and mean. She is trying to play off of his morals not hers.

Rozlyn was disgusting and that kiss was so hard to watch, yuck! You are right on the money.

I agree with everything you've said so far: Elizabeth is retarded- totally cocky and mean; Tenley and Ali are the best. I'm starting to feel bad for Vienna. I don't think she has a chance, but I like her for some reason. Is anyone else sick of Michelle saying "I came here to find love blah blah"? Does she say anything else?

I'm also a little disappointed in Jake (I thought he was smarter) and I think this whole Roz thing was good for him because it woke him up. Maybe he'll start looking past the bikini booties to discover personalities and true intentions. Team Tenley!

Oh, this show! Why do we watch it? If you read any of the websites that talk about this show, they all want you to feel sorry for Rozlyn. I dont feel a bit sorry for her. She should have known better than to enter into even a close friendship with that producer guy. She seemed to have no remorse at all. Glad she's gone.

Pretty much unwatchable now that Roz is gone.

It was an excellent episode. You covered the key points. I have to admit I liked Vienna better this time and even Gia seemed okay. What's up with the girls we know nothing about--Robin, Alisha, Jesse (I don't even know if their names are right). I assume they are outta here soon. I am still bored by Jake--he is cute and sweet but they never show him saying or doing anything funny or interesting. He was the same way during Jillian's season. At least he's a pilot.

Sooooo jealous of your anonymous, even if it is Romney!

I agree with Ash about Jake being BOO-ring. He is a snooze. Cute, but never has anything to say or do. No charisma. We deserve more from our Bachelor. Maybe they should script him or something for my viewing pleasure.

Oh my. The feminist in me who has absolutely NO tolerance for ditzy psycho manipulative bimbos is so mad at these women. I'm glad I don't watch. I know I'd cuss. And it would be sincere and repeated every week despite my stop in church on Sundays.

But oh, I do love your recaps. I think they're probably better than the show.

Somehow I knew Ashley would refer to Anonymous. Anonymous should start reading her blog, too.

Agree on Jake. He is there for the wrong reason.

Just ditto me with Laura's comments. I thought last night that I might as well turn it off right now. . .Ali's the one. Of course, I'll keep watching. . .for the comedy!!

What is it with this show. I don't want to watch it, and yet I find myself Tivoing it so I won't miss anything! SICK! There is so much cheese, and drama. After I watched this afternoon, I called and thanked Landon for marrying me long before I became one of these women!

That said, I LOVE Ali. She's cute, and she seems real. I think Elizabeth is cute too, but the note turned me off. I can't decide about Vienna. One minute I think she's cute, the next I think she looks like a wet dog!

Well, on to Biggest Loser and Idol. What did I do with Tivo and reality TV!

I agree wholeheartedly. What was with Rozalyn's whole "I don't think my personal life is anyone's business" crap? Are you not aware that you're on a reality tv show? I'm so over her.

And add me to the list of people who loved Elizabeth and now can't stand her. She made such a good first impression, but then she spoke, and it all went downhill from there. The taunting & teasing was too much. I think she loves herself a lot.

Thanks again for a great recap!

This show makes me embarrassed to be a single girl. I thought I'd watch for some tips on flirting, but I don't think I could do this kind of stuff...especially on national television. HAVE SOME SELF-RESPECT GIRLS!

Oh my gosh Brooke -I am "tuning in" to your blog as much I do the Bachelor and all my other favorite shows. You are so entertaining. I guess if I had a hot bikini bod I may want to flaunt it. But then again no!

Hold everything! I just saw the preview for next week on abc.com and they are having us believe that Tenley announces she's pregnant! Tell me it's just a trick to get us to watch and that she's just telling Jake a story from the past or something.

BTW, I forgot to tell you that I loved when you said Roslyn came "bouncing into the cabana." PERFECT description. Boing boing.

Elizabeth bugs and i quote "You can makeout with my forehead if you want!" and michelle is soo dramatic with the packing of the bags. I vote Ali!
