Happy Mother's Day, Indeed!

My little Buster came home today! It is absolutely wonderful having him at home and knowing he is healthy. As much as I hated having him in the NICU, I do appreciate all that modern medicine can do for preemie babies.

Yesterday, Mitchell got a new roommate--a cute baby with the most ghetto, gangster parents on the planet. I could have done without the hour and half long, profanity- laced tirade I heard through the curtain. The parade of characters these people brought to see the baby was pretty remarkable too.

Long story short, I didn't feel like I could leave Mitchell alone for a second for fear that one of these visitors, high on who knows what, could hurt my baby. Yes, I know Sam is rolling his eyes as I type this, but I don't call the baby Buster for nothing---I'm a little over-protective right now. So it was a total relief to load him into his carrier and get him the H out of there.

Chillin' at home--he looks so much like Sammie

Here are some pictures of him meeting the sibs:

I can't believe I have four kids--Do I look like I have my hands full?!

I now have a third thing to think about when I hear Buster.

#1. Buster Brown shoes

#2. Peanut Buster Parfait @ DQ

#3. Your little gem with the skinny legs.

Could he be any cuter? Glad you didn't have to leave him alone with the trashy-trashersons next door!

Happy Happy Mother's Day, Brookie! "Buster" (is that what he is officially being called now?) couldn't be any cuter - glad to see him in those little preemie clothes - they look like they fit pretty well. AND, I can't believe my baby has four kids either.

Guess you know that makes your name, "Bustamama."
Liz and Peggy will get it.

Brooke!
Mitchell is beautiful! I am so happy he is home for Mother's Day. Thank you for your post on my blog. No, you did not make me feel bad. I made myself feel bad! I actually have another friend who had a baby in the NICU at the same time as you and I think it just brought back all sorts of memories and feelings I had pushed aside for five years. I think you are amazing and I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Hooray, I'm so glad he's home!! How sweet that he came home for Mother's Day. The thought of his NICU roommate is heartbreaking to me. What a difference to think of little Buster coming to your happy home and that other baby being surrounded by a shady crew.

Oh my goodness, I am dying at these pictures! I want to snuggle him so bad! I LOVE the one of Dino holding him--it's heartbreakingly cute to see that baby holding Buster. You look great too--hair and make-up totally done. Impressive. Keep posting the pics! I am sad I don't get to see him again for a month! He'll be HUGE!

Oh, and I'm so glad he's home. Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mothers Day Brooke!. What a wonderful gift to get Mitchell home with his family.
He really looks like his sibs and you totally look like you know what you are doing with 4 children :-)
PS sorry about the ghetto gansta parents (I wouldn't have left him there either).

What a happy mother's day! Aren't there rules about who is allowed in the NICU? You can't even bring your other kids in to meet their brother for crying out loud. The neighbor's can bring all their crazy friends in? Surely the smoke smell is more harmful than kid germs!

Congratulations! I am so glad he is home with you. haha! I totally get the fear of the ghetto roommate. I had our little Caroline at a hospital in Hollywood. Yikes, you can imagine my relief when I found out all the rooms were private and it was hospital policy that the baby stay in the room with the mother. Caroline never left my side and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I am so happy Buster's home. We heart AD, such a funny show. Happy Mother's Day!

Brooke, I am so happy for you that he is home! I can't believe how cute he is. Not all preemies are so cute. You look fabulous too. Wish I could be there to come visit. Get some sleep and tell Sam we loved his photo in the BYU mag!

He is SO adorable! I'm so glad that you are all home together, although I don't know how people do it with more than one kid. I think Finn is going to be an only child! :)
