He is No Brad Womack....

He is waaaay better. My love language is Words of Affirmation. I want to be told that I am loved and adored and skinny and sexy and smart and...well you get the picture. Like most guys, Sam doesn't always say the right things. But he always shows me he loves me by the stuff he does for me. Here are a few examples of what he has done for me this week:

He installed this bag holder in my pantry today and I only had to ask him once:

My mom saw the state of our plastic bags and bought it for us at Ikea.

He installed a weather app on my ipad. Oh yeah, he bought me an ipad. I think he actually bought the ipad for himself but he leaves it at home and put my email on it and all my stuff and it is basically mine. Back to the weather thing. Every night, I ask him what the weather is going to be like the next day and he always says "I'm not a weatherman." But he always knows. Now I don't need to ask him, but I still will.

He hung this tennis ball in the garage so I can pull my car in to just the right spot. Didn't your grandpas all have the tennis ball hanging in the garage? Mine did. It is so old school.

He made home-made rolls last Sunday and this Sunday. Recipe from my sister here.

He also made crepes when we got home from church and Scotch-a-roos for a treat. Scotch-a-roos are Kryptonite. They are delicious and addicting. Recipe here.

We never cut them into squares--we eat them one row at a time--knife stays in the pan.

He washed my car and cleaned out the inside. He was disgusted with the way I treat it. Bygones. It is a mini van.

He left work early on Friday to take the kids to the zoo with me. He let me wear his coat the whole time because I was stupid and decided not to bring one because it didn't go with my outfit.

Sam holding Buster (his mini-me) on the train.

He let me take a nap today and is babysitting tomorrow night for my Bachelor party and Tuesday night when I go to dinner with my girlfriends. He has watched the kids a ton during the last six weeks while I went to the gym and supported me through Club Phat (a whole nother post!) He will hate this post so I apologize in advance Sam!

I see the light from his halo clear down here! :) You must deserve it or he wouldn't do it. Kudos on picking good...and being good!

In the spirit of Brad Womack, "Let me tell you how much I enjoyed this post. The fact that you took the time to do a post today tells me that you are ready to take our relationship to the next level. And can I tell you that my feelings for you are stronger than ever...I think our chemistry is real and that we are on the verge of something amazing."

Ashley, my apologies re the pictures of the rolls. Something went haywire with the yeast today, and they didn't rise correctly. I'm worriednthat picture slanders your recipe.

What is Club Phat? Why didn't you tell me you were in a weight-loss competition?

Sam--

Way to channel Brad, that was very funny!

Yikes Sam wants to take your relationship to the next level.... run Brooke run. Oops I forgot you are married and have 4 kids. Sam is a catch for sure, you picked good!
PS I love it when David does " house stuff" like the tennis ball and bag holder - its better than diamonds (not really but you know what I mean).

I can only hope that Brooke lets her walls down, and lets Sam into her heart.

I love that he is so helpful and thoughtful...and that you didn't tell him you were in Club Phat. I didn't tell Jimmy for months that I was going to Medical Weight Loss.

Denise, Sam is being totally sarcastic. I talked/complained about nothing else for six weeks straight. The poor man never wants to hear the words Club Phat again!

I need to come and hang out at your house after church, the food looks divine. Sam next time we are up there, will you make me a pan of scotch-a-roos? I'm not joking, those are my FAVE. No one will eat them in my house, except me, so I never make them.

Enjoy the bachelor tonight. I can't wait for the recap tomorrow.

Wow, this is a serious list of goodness! I'm super impressed with the rolls especially, but everything in this post was impressive.

The cleaning out of the minivan cracks me up, I would love to have heard his commentary while doing that.

I so relate to this post. I love that plastic bag thing from IKEA- I am OBSESSED with the weather- I have one of those old man tennis balls in my garage. (I have had 1 too many mishaps)-I love those rolls-I eat my desserts a row at at time (leaving the knife in the pan, always) and I never dress warm enough!

Oh, and Landon's pretty great to take care of me too. Glad to know Sam takes such good care of you

Sam, you forgot "feeling a connection" and "being there for the right reasons." But I am impressed that you have been watching our show. You should do the recap from last night! (we know you watched)
Kudos on all the baking, cleaning and babysitting!
