Thanksgiving at Disneyland

I know I've been AWOL for awhile. We just returned from a vacation to Disneyland. We survived the 4 day pass and actually had a great time. I will spare you the blow-by-blow details. (Consider it an early Christmas present from me to you.)

Disneyland doesn't mess around--everything they do is first class. The Christmas decorations were splendid. The parades were awesome and the weather was fantastic. Still, it's good to be home. Here are a few photos from the trip.

The castle by day and by night (weird that we are in the exact same pose on different days!)

The boys in the teacups--my kids love this ride.

I had to include this picture. This is the kind of crap my kids pull in every photo. Notice "It's a Small World" lit up behind us. The entire ride is decorated for Christmas. It was amazing.

The fam with Goofy. I previously mentioned my beef with the absence of the characters. We had more luck this time when we visited Toon Town. I know I look terrible in this photo. It truly is time for an intervention.

My kids love their Mickey ears. They wore them on the plane to California and the first two days at the park. We finally convinced them to leave them at the hotel for the last two days.

Thank goodness you're back! I was so sick of seeing that creamed corn every time I checked your blog. Disneyland looks amazing decked out for Christmas. I love the kids in their mickey mouse ears!

I have to admit I was sick of the creamed corn too. Disneyland is such a blast. We've only taken the kids once and these pictures are making me really want to go back. Glad you had fun!!

The whole fam looks extra cute and happy at the "happiest place on earth!" Glad you had such a good time. (even without me in the wheelchair)

Disneyland was magical. I initially thought the 4-day park hopper was too long, but it turned out to the be the right amount of time. The kids loved the parades and riding the train around the park. With four days, we didn't feel like we had to stay at the park all day--although I went back by myself one night for the fireworks.

I discovered that the longer I was there, the more intoxicated I became in all things Disney. I just about purchased a lanyard for me and the kids and began collecting pins.

All hail to the Mouse.

How funny that you know my in-laws! They are great people, and I just love them. What a small world it is (no pun intended, ha ha)...

Ah Disney...truly a place where dreams come true. I love Disneyworld and jump at any chance I can to drag my whole family down there.
So glad you had a great time!

Cute Cute! My kids love the Mickey ears too. Your kids are the perfect age for Disneyland. It's all "magical"! You've inspired me to plan a trip to Disneyland.

Looks like fun.

I heard that there was a guy resembling Sam all alone going on rides by himself. Isn't that a little creepy. If I saw a guy at Disneyland without kids going on rides I would run away, fast!
JK!
Everyone needs a little alone time at Disneyland.

Brandi:

No one ran away because I was handing out free churros.

The only ride I went on was Space Mountain since Luke didn't want to go on it. After that, I hunkered down on Main Street for the fireworks.

"It was a Christmas Fantasy."

Looks like you had a great Disney trip too! Too bad we didn't see you there! Did you love the fake snow after the fireworks? Kate and Zach were the only 2 awake at that point, but it was so fun!
